Aamir, Kajol to sing in Fanaa

Monday, April 17th, 2006

Yashraj Films first release of the year Fanaa is undoubtedly one of the most awaited releases of 2006.

What makes it more interesting is that the lead pair of the film Aamir Khan and Kajol have lent their voice for a couple of songs.

Aamir has gone behind the microphone earlier too in Ghulam, Mangal Pandey and Rang De Basanti. However, what would be interesting is to see Kajol experiment with her vocal chords.

According to sources, both Aamir and Kajol have lent their voices for two songs in the film. The songs Mere Haath Mein and Chanda Chamke have been sung by them along with other known singers like Sonu Nigam, Babul Supriyo, Mahalaxmi Iyer and Sunidhi Chauhan.

Following the recent trend of remixes, this album too has a remix of one of its songs Chand Sifarish by DJ Aqeel.

The audio of Fanaa releases worldwide on April 12. The music is given by Jatin-Lalit and the lyrics are penned by Prasoon Joshi. (Source: Indiafm.com)

‘Fanaa’ music out in stores

Monday, April 17th, 2006

Music of the most keenly awaited album of the season, Fanaa, is out on stores.

As expected, the album is selling like hot cakes from the stands due to an all around unprecedented demand. In spite of the fact that so far just one line [Subhan Allah] has been heard from the entire album, people are just flocking the music stores to check out the album due to multiple reasons.

First and foremost the Yash Raj Films tagline by itself spells quality. Secondly the film stars Aamir Khan and Kajol and has a romantic theme. And last, but most importantly, Jatin Lalit as the composers who have earlier given huge hits for YRF in the form of DDLJ and ‘Hum Tum’!

The album has seven songs in total that includes an instrumental and a remix. Watch out for our music review of the album coming soon!
