Action hero Akshay Kumar turns 39 today. But he wishes to have a simple, quiet birthday with his family instead of a big bash like most people do. As per reports in a tabloid, Akshay is in Chennai busy shooting for Priyadarshan’s BHAGAM BHAAG and will fly back to Mumbai to spend quality time with his wife and son.He informed the tabloid that birthdays are of no great importance to him and he takes it as just another day. He is looking forward to spending time with his family right now.

His forthcoming films include BHAGAM BHAAG, JAAN-E-MANN, NAMASTE LONDON etc.

According to the buzz, model-turned-actor Upen Patel has requested Akshay Kumar to teach him a few martial arts tricks. The duo will be appearing together in Vipul Shah’s Namaste London. Apparently, Upen requested him by way of an SMS, while Akshay was shooting for Priyadarshan’s ‘Bhagam Bhag‘ (with Govinda) in London recently.

Akshay called back Upen and promised him all help in the matter.
