Veteran actress Ila Arun recently shared her thoughts on working with Sushmita Sen in the highly anticipated crime thriller drama 'Aarya' Season 3 and reflected on how their bond grew stronger over time. In the series, Ila portrays the character of Nalini Sahiba.
Expressing her excitement about reuniting with Sushmita on the set of 'Aarya 3,' Ila remarked, "The moment I landed the role in ‘Aarya 3’, I was filled with anticipation about seeing Sushmita once more."
"Our previous collaboration on 'Chingaari' had already formed a strong bond and mutual respect between us, and it was during that time that I truly got to know the actor in her. Before that, I had known and appreciated her as a model and Miss Universe, but witnessing her on set revealed her incredible strength," said the actress, known for her role in 'Manto.'
Ila, at the age of 69, further shared, "Even when she faced a brief illness during 'Aarya,' my concern was palpable. However, when she returned to the set, it was as if she hadn't suffered at all."
Describing the camaraderie between them, Ila Arun said, "The majority of my scenes were with her, and during the shoots, we resided in neighboring villas, and truly, there was an abundance of affection. She affectionately refers to me as 'Ma'."
In 'Aarya,' Sushmita Sen plays the character of Aarya Sareen, who has her sights set on the supply and transportation of narcotic drugs but faces formidable competition from Ila Arun's character, the undisputed queen on the supply side.
As Aarya becomes the target of ACP Khan, who is back with a vengeance after a hiatus, she takes the lead with Daulat by her side. This season promises intense action and a fierce showdown, as Aarya fiercely defends her children.
