In order to prepare for her role as a character who experiences post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in the streaming series “Kaala Paani,” actress Arushi Sharma, who has been getting a lot of positive feedback for her work in the project, revealed that she met with a few trauma specialists.
Arushi plays the difficult character of Jyotsna in “Kaala Paani,” which calls for a spectrum of emotional expression from her.
The actress spoke out about her preparations for the role, saying: “PTSD was the driving force behind Jyotsna’s journey, and I realized from the beginning that this is a delicate subject that had to be addressed carefully. I studied PTSD for three months, studying movies and YouTube recordings of real panic attacks being experienced by individuals.
He said, “To go further, I talked with a few of trauma-specialist physicians to help me understand what individuals feel on the inside, how they think, how particular situations cause panic attacks, and the process of breath work and heartbeat changes. A person may feel imprisoned by the weight of such feelings.
“I developed Jyotsna’s complete background, making notes from all the knowledge I assimilated over the course of these months. I became so absorbed in it that I had a real panic attack at one point, which sort of startled me, she said.
Arushi made her acting debut in the movie Tamasha, which was followed by the films Love Aaj Kal 2 and Jaadugar.
