Megastar Chiranjeevi took his first step into the world of his upcoming fantasy entertainer, tentatively titled 'Mega 156'. On Tuesday, the renowned actor graced the film's pooja ceremony, officially commencing the project. UV Creations, the production house, celebrated the event by sharing a video on X (formerly Twitter) and expressed their happiness in bringing back the tradition of launching Telugu films with a musical composition.
"In the good old days, films used to begin with music compositions, and #Mega156 has brought the tradition back to Telugu Cinema. Beginning the MEGA MASS BEYOND UNIVERSE with a celebratory song composition followed by an auspicious Pooja Ceremony. Wishing everyone a very Happy Dussehra," read the post.
The video featured music director MM Keeravani discussing the music recording for the film. Chiranjeevi, accompanied by his wife Surekha, graced the event, marking the start of an exciting cinematic journey. Initially, the film was slated to be Chiranjeevi's 157th project, as indicated by early posters. However, it is now tentatively titled as 'Mega 156'.
The makers celebrated the megastar's birthday by formally announcing the fantasy entertainer on X. Vassishta, the film's director, expressed his gratitude to Chiranjeevi and shared the concept poster of 'Mega 157 - MEGA MASS BEYOND UNIVERSE.' He wrote, "My heartfelt thanks to the MIGHTY MEGASTAR @KChiruTweets garu for believing in me and giving me the chance to present you on BIG screens. Wishing the BOSS of Masses a very happy birthday!"
The announcement poster showcased the five elements of nature (panchabhutas) - Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Sky - enclosed within an object featuring a star-shaped element with a trident.
'Mega 156', a unique fantasy flick, marks Chiranjeevi's return to the genre after a considerable gap. The film will be helmed by Vassishta, who made his directorial debut with 'Bimbisara'. It promises to be a grand cinematic spectacle, produced by V Vamsi Krishna Reddy, Pramod Uppalapati, and Vikram Reddy under the banner of UV Creations.
