Actress Sonakshi Sinha, known for her recent appearance in the streaming series 'Dahaad,' has teamed up once more with rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh after a hiatus of nine years. Their latest musical creation, 'Kalaastar,' was officially released this past Sunday.
This new track is a natural progression from their previous music collaboration, 'Desi Kalaakar,' which initially hit the airwaves in 2014. The music video accompanying 'Kalaastar' vividly portrays the undeniable on-screen chemistry between Yo Yo Honey Singh and Sonakshi.
In discussing their reunion, Sonakshi Sinha shared her excitement, saying, "Reconnecting with Yo Yo Honey Singh after nearly a decade was an absolute pleasure. Working with Honey is always a blast, and this song exudes a tremendous sense of swagger and style."
She continued, "What's more, it's an extension of 'Desi Kalaakar,' which was adored by fans. I hope we receive a similar outpouring of love this time, as 'Kalaastar' is undoubtedly creating a buzz in today's music scene."
'Kalaastar' is now available for streaming on Zee Music Company's YouTube channel, providing fans with a chance to immerse themselves in this fresh musical offering.
Meanwhile, Sonakshi Sinha, who made her debut in the streaming world with 'Dahaad' earlier this year, is preparing for her role in the period drama 'Heeramandi,' directed by the renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Set against the backdrop of pre-Independent India, 'Heeramandi' weaves a captivating narrative about three generations of courtesans in the Heeramandi district. The series also features esteemed actors such as Richa Chadha, Sharmin Sehgal, and Manisha Koirala and is scheduled for release on Netflix.
