It’s the beginning of 2025, and we are witnessing a series of devastating events, like floods in Saudi Arabia, a virus outbreak in China, an earthquake in Tibet, and fires in Los Angeles. Witnessing these catastrophic events at the beginning of the new year can be quite overwhelming, says Despatch film actress Hansa Singh. She adds that we need to think very deeply about why these things are happening.  “We humans are a little apathetic. Until it hits their door, they are just unaffected.

Instead of ‘natural disasters’ we should name these consequences of human rapid expansion. I don’t use the word ‘global warming’. For me, it’s simple science, more bodies, more heat, more disasters. The equilibrium of earth is getting warmer. The balance is changing. And we as humans are responsible. Honestly, it’s sometimes a catch-22 situation. Infrastructure is also needed to accommodate everyone. But the question is why is this population explosion happening in the first place. All I can say is that insecure minds create unstable environments,” he says.

She adds, “As per me, natural disasters are a universal way of bringing balance on earth which is created by us. It’s all here. No where else. The Generation beta is coming. What are we leaving for them to grow up with? Time to bring sanity in chaos.”
