Actress Kanika Mann, who is all set to take on the lead role in the upcoming show 'Chand Jalne Laga,' has shared insights into her character's preparation and described the show as a captivating love story infused with twists of fate.
In 'Chand Jalne Laga,' Kanika Mann stars alongside Vishal Aditya Singh as Dev and Tara, respectively. The story revolves around the extraordinary journey of two childhood sweethearts who once found solace in each other but were separated by the harsh hand of destiny.
As the timeless adage goes, "Love is the fire that kindles the heart," and 'Chand Jalne Laga' is poised to be that blazing fire, promising to be the most passionate love story of the year.
Speaking about her character, Kanika said, "I'll be portraying the role of Tara. She is a striking and dedicated young woman who conceals her emotional scars beneath a facade."
"She's thriving in her career as an interior designer and serves as the peacemaker in her family. Despite her composed exterior, Tara carries the weight of memories from her childhood friend, Dev," Kanika explained.
Kanika further shared, "Tara is a self-assured, intellectual, and resilient young woman who fears nothing. As a child, she was apprehensive about nearly everything, but with time, she has grown into an independent and confident individual."
"I believe that thorough script reading is the best preparation for an actor. It aided me in comprehending the character's background, motivations, and emotions. Embodying Tara feels natural to me because we share many traits," she added.
The actress, well-known for her role in 'Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega,' also shed light on her criteria for choosing projects.
She explained, "The quality of the script and the overall storyline have always been my top priorities. I search for well-crafted, engaging, and demanding roles that allow me to showcase my talent and connect with the audience."
"I'm drawn to intricate and multi-dimensional characters. I seek roles that offer the opportunity to explore the emotional spectrum and growth of a character throughout the story. It's rewarding to work on projects that can challenge me artistically and push my boundaries," the 30-year-old actress remarked.
Kanika disclosed her inclination to accept projects that diversify her portfolio or introduce her to a new genre.
"In the end, an actor's decision-making process involves an element of intuition," she noted.
Kanika praised 'Chand Jalne Laga' as a beautiful tale interwoven with love and the unpredictable twists of fate.
Produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary's Swastik Productions, 'Chand Jalne Laga' is scheduled to premiere on Colors from October 23.
